Keval Kaur Khalsa, RYT-500

Keval Kaur Khalsa, M.A., is a Professional Kundalini Yoga Trainer, North Carolina Regional Coordinator for Y.O.G.A. for youth, and Associate Professor of the Practice in Dance & Theater Studies and Service Learning Faculty Scholar and Bass Connections researcher at Duke University, where she has been on the faculty for 25 years and served as the Director of the Dance Program for 7 years.

Keval Kaur has taught yoga on three continents, and served on Level 1 Teacher Training teams in Detroit, MI, Chapel Hill & Asheville, NC, Nashville, TN, San Diego & Los Angeles, CA, and Accra, Ghana. Also a long-time environmental and social justice activist, Keval Kaur spearheaded the Y.O.G.A. for Youth satellite program in North Carolina, which brings the tools of yoga and meditation to underserved youth. As an activist she has been to jail with climatologist Dr. James Hansen and Moral Monday leader Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II. Keval is also the mother of an adult son.
