The counseling portion of our center draws upon Adlerian principles of tolerance, patience and encouragement. An integrative approach to psychology is used in the clinical setting using traditional methods of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as integrative approaches using Mindfulness based practices, Meditation and the ancient practice of yoga. Therapeutic treatments will be based on individual needs and interests.
Yoga Therapy is the ultimate combination of yogic practices and principles combined to meet emotional and psychological needs. A yoga therapy session is designed to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the individual through more demanding and interactive treatment protocols.
Yoga Classes are designed to meet the needs of the students. Our teachers are very intentional about keeping you safe and giving you total permission to stay where you are or challenge yourself to go a little deeper. The yoga room is a deep purple color (free of mirrors), to enhance the meditative component of yoga. Yoga means union and our hope is that we can provide a place and space for you to grow personally and feel a deep connection to like-minded community members.
Heart’s Journey Wellness Center offers a variety of workshops throughout the year. Our intention is to introduce the community to a variety of local and national professionals who offer a variety of healing practices.
