Our yoga classes are designed to create an environment for healing and growth. Yoga at its foundation is about self-care and that includes the body, mind and spirit. Taking care of ourselves in one aspect of our life creating a ripple effect that can radiate throughout other aspects of our lives. Taking time to still the mind, engage the spirit and strengthen the body allows all systems of the body to work more efficiently and reinforces breathing and meditation techniques to use in everyday life. Yoga doesn’t have to be about pushing the body into complicated poses. It’s about starting where you are, accepting yourself and doing what you can.
Yoga encourages a body-mind-spirit connection that can help create homeostasis. Sometimes our lives can leave us feeling depleted, weak and tired. Yoga can help to “fill the well” and leave us rejuvenated. By giving to ourselves we have more to give to our loved ones, our careers, our life’s passion. Yoga can be whatever we make it.
